Opt‑ic is the intelligence layer above payments.

Every payment is the outcome of a much larger system. Pricing decisions, promotional mechanics, customer journeys, sales processes, technology choices, and operational workflows all shape what a transaction costs, how it converts, and what margin it produces. By the time a payment is processed, most of the commercial impact has already been decided.

For years, payments optimisation has focused on rates, fees, and provider negotiations. While important, these efforts tend to happen in isolation and often too late. They rarely account for how payments interact with pricing strategy, marketing performance, customer behaviour, or operational complexity.

We formed Opt-ic to address this gap. We help businesses understand how their commercial and payments infrastructure actually works as a connected system, and how that system affects profitability over time.

Our perspective is grounded in experience. Collectively, we bring over 40 years in payments, having worked with many of the world’s largest retail organisations. We’ve operated at the centre of a leading global payments consultancy, playing key roles in scaling the business from early-stage to a nine-figure enterprise; building high-performing sales and consulting teams, delivering complex client engagements, and supporting the company through private equity investment and growth.

That experience shapes how we approach Opt-ic: applying the same level of commercial rigour and execution, but through a wider lens—focused on the end-to-end customer journey, where payments, pricing, marketing and operations are treated as a single system—not separate decisions.
